This week has been another great learning experience as I volunteer as camp nurse in PA with Church of the Open Door's kids summer camp. I've done a smattering of camp nursing before, but this has been educational (and fun!) as I learn the ins and outs of camp nurse paperwork, as well as expecting the unexpected, and thinking outside the box.
The kids (5-13 years old), have been great, and counselors have kept an enthusiastic spirit through the long days and late nights. I personally am looking forward to an uninterrupted night's sleep this weekend, but I'm enjoying every minute of this week. The best part is seeing the kids learn to trust God, and get excited about memorizing their verses.
